The health and social care sector plays a critical role in maintaining the physical and mental health of the public. In the UK, the National Health Service is embedded deeply in British society, providing support to residents since 1948. English Language Requirements
The English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT) is required for all applicants without a British passport, unless they meet one of the exemptions below:

- Level 2 Academic Qualification (e.g., GCSE English, Functional Skills Level 2) – No ELPT required, unless requested during the interview by the academic team.
- Level 2 Vocational Qualification – ELPT required.
Ofqual-recognised Academic Qualification at Level 3 or above, completed in English.
Recent Overseas English Language Qualification – Must have been obtained within the last 4 years.

Entry Requirements
Level 4 Entry
- Minimum of 72 UCAS points (or equivalent overseas qualification).
Level 3 Entry
- Minimum of 32 UCAS points (or equivalent overseas qualification).
Level 3 Entry (Mature Students – Age 21+)
Non-Standard Entry – With Qualifications:
- An academically recognised Level 3 qualification OR
- A recognised Level 2 qualification in the chosen field of study, plus relevant work experience in that field.
Non-Standard Entry – Without Formal Qualifications:
- At least 6 months’ relevant work experience within the last 2 years (experience must be in a skilled role and not classed as unskilled labour).
- A professional reference, which will be verified by the Admissions team.
- An academic interview.
- If self-employed, the applicant’s business will be reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis.
