Designed by experienced academics and practitioners, with input from our internationally renowned Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice, this degree will encourage you to see the law in the context of everyday life right from the start.
You’ll spend most of your time in face-to-face classes and workshops developing your understanding of both legal issues and the core skills and competencies legal practitioners are expected to have.
As our courses are taught over no more than three days per week, you’ll have the flexibility to take on paid part-time work, placements, or internships – gaining real-world experience before you graduate.
LLB (Hons) Law with Politics is offered by University of Roehampton in partnership with OIEG. Students can choose from flexible class schedules such as Weekday, allowing them to balance education with other commitments. The programme is offered in Full Time study modes, ensuring accessibility for learners. It supports various academic pathways, including Bachelors levels, making it suitable for a wide range of students seeking professional or academic advancement. EU Entry Requirements
Along with a complete application, EU and international applicants are required to submit various supporting documents. These include:
- Academic qualifications (certificate and transcript)
- Valid English language qualification
- Personal statement
- Two references
General Entry Requirements
General requirements:
All offers are subject to our general entrance requirements.
For undergraduate courses, these are ordinarily one of the following:
- Passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Level; or
- A pass in one subject at GCE Advanced Level plus (a) passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level, or (b) a Vocational A-Level Single Award, or (c) two Vocational A-Level part Awards;
- A Vocational A-Level Double Award; or
- A Vocational A-Level Single Award plus (a) two Vocational A-Level part Awards, or (b) passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level; or
- A BTEC National Certificate or Diploma; or
- A completed T Level award; or
- A Scottish Certificate of Education with (a) passes in five subjects, including at least three at Higher grade, or (b) passes in four subjects all at Higher grade or New Higher grade; or
- The full Diploma of the International Baccalaureate; or
- An Irish Leaving Certificate with passes in four subjects at Grade C at the Higher level.
For some courses we require applicants to achieve a GCSE Grade C/4 or above in specific subjects, or an equivalent qualification.
Taught higher degrees:
- You should usually hold a second-class honours degree (certain programmes may require a 2:1) from a recognised British or overseas university.
- Advice on recognition can be obtained from our admissions office.
- Non-graduates with appropriate professional qualifications will be considered on an individual basis by Programme Leaders; contact details can be found on course pages.
- Applicants will be expected to apply and register for the full masters award. If you have a third-class honours degree, we encourage you to complete an application as we will consider your wider circumstances in making a decision on your application.
Mathematics Requirements
Mathematics equivalencies (for courses requiring GCSE grade C/4 and above)
- GCSE at Grade C/4 or above
- Equivalent Access course modules at Level 2 or above
- Functional Skills Level 2 Maths with a pass grade (Not acceptable for BA Primary Education)
- Key Skills Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Application of Number (Not acceptable for BA Primary Education)
Specific Nursing Entry Requirements
- A levels/BTEC (or equivalent qualification): at least one science or health-related subject
- GCSE (or equivalent) grades 4/C in Maths and English (at least one science subject desirable).
- Applicants will also undertake an interview. Successful applicants will need to complete an Occupational Health (OH) Check and an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Check.
- Non-native English speakers who do not have GCSE English or equivalent at grade 4/C or above require an IELTS score of at least 6.5 in writing and at least 7.0 in reading, listening and speaking, with a minimum overall score of 7.0.
