MSc in Public Health and Social Care in Practice is offered by University of Wales Trinity Saint David in partnership with UWTSD. Students can choose from flexible class schedules such as Weekday, allowing them to balance education with other commitments. The programme is offered in Full Time study modes, ensuring accessibility for learners. It supports various academic pathways, including Masters levels, making it suitable for a wide range of students seeking professional or academic advancement. CertHE: Entry Route to a Full Degree

This programme attracts applicants from a variety of backgrounds and experiences in terms of employment and academic qualifications. 

This programme does not require applicants to possess formal qualifications; admissions assessment of the suitability of applicants is via rigorous interview and a written test.

Once you have successfully completed your CertHE studies, you will be eligible to progress for the remaining two years of the bachelor’s degree. 

These are ideal routes if you are returning to study after a gap, or if you have not previously studied this subject, or if you did not achieve the grades you need for a place on this degree. 

English Language Requirements

Previous Study

  • A degree (Bachelor’s/Master’s) from the UK or another English-speaking country.
  • A degree taught in English (within the last 5 years).
  • A qualification in English (e.g. GCSE, IGCSE, WAEC, Standard XII, etc.).
  • Completed a recognised Pre-sessional English course.
  • Citizenship from an English-speaking country (e.g. USA, Canada, Australia, Jamaica, Malta, New Zealand).

Accepted English Tests

  • IELTS Academic (UKVI preferred)
  1. Foundation (Level 3): 4.5 overall (min 4.0 each skill)
  2. Undergraduate & Postgraduate (Levels 4–7): 6.0 overall (min 5.5 each skill)
  3. PhD: 6.5 overall (Reading & Writing 6.5, Listening & Speaking 5.5)
  • PTE Academic (UKVI preferred): 59 overall (43 for Foundation).
  • TOEFL iBT: 72 overall (minimum in each skill applies).
  • Oxford ELLT: 6.0 overall (7.0 for PhD).
  • Other Tests: Cambridge English (C1, C2, B2 Business), Trinity ISE II/III, LanguageCert, Skills for English SELT.
