Our three-year BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering programme is a flexible and far-reaching undergraduate course designed to help you focus on making your mark within the world of mechanical engineering. 

You will learn the key principles of mechanical engineering, engineering applications, advanced materials, and structures, advanced thermofluids and control, amongst many other subject topics. 

Modern and career-focused, the BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering offers the grounding needed to help you excel. Delivered in partnership with the University of Greater Manchester, this course offers flexible timetables with the option to study both digitally online and in person. Our morning, evening and weekend classes are available to help you fit your studies around existing life commitments.

BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering is offered by University of Greater Manchester in partnership with RCL. Students can choose from flexible class schedules such as Weekday, allowing them to balance education with other commitments. The programme is offered in Full Time study modes, ensuring accessibility for learners. It supports various academic pathways, including Bachelors levels, making it suitable for a wide range of students seeking professional or academic advancement. Standard Entry

Applicants must meet one of the following:

  • Minimum of 32 UCAS points from Level 3 qualifications
  • Level 3 Certificate/Diploma (Pass)
  • UK ENIC (formerly UK NARIC) confirmed Level 3 equivalent
  • 5 UK GCSEs at grades A*–C (or 9–4) including English and Maths (or equivalent)
Mature Applicant Route (Non-Standard Entry)

Applicants aged 21+ without formal Level 3 qualifications may be considered based on:

  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience
