Full-time undergraduate students can receive up to £9,250 per year for tuition fees. This loan covers the entire cost of your tuition, and the loan is paid directly to the university or college. You will get more info here.

The amount of maintenance/living-cost funds are for the 2025 academic year may vary based on household income. You can use the Student finance calculator to check how much money you will be get as a maintenance fund loan.

  • Up to £13,348 per year if studying in London.
  • Up to £10,227 per year if studying outside London.
  • Up to £8,610 per year if living with parent at home.

The amount of Masters/Post-graduate loan may vary based on household income. You can get up to £12,471 if your course starts on or after 1 August 2024. The loan is paid directly to you. You can use it for your course fees and living costs. You will get more info here.

  • Up to £13,348 per year if studying in London.
  • Up to £10,227 per year if studying outside London.
  • Up to £8,610 per year if living with parent at home.

Extra grants and allowances are available for students with disabilities, dependents, or specific financial needs. Some well known grants are below. Please note those are grants, not loan so do not need to be repaid. You will get more info from here.

  • Parent Learning ALlowance: Upto £1,617 per year depending on your household income.
  • Childcare Grant: Up to £159.59 per week for one child or upto £273.60 for two children or more towards the cost of childcare depending on household income.
  • Adult Dependant Grant: Up to £2,834 per year depending on your household income.

  • You must be a UK residents with British citizenship, pre-settled/settled status, ILR, or refugee status approved.
  • You must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years before starting your course.

  • Repayments start only when you earn above £25,000 per year. You’ll only repay when your income is over £480 a week, £2,083 a month or £25,000 a year. You’ll pay back 9% of any income over the threshold. If your income drops, so do your repayments.
  • For example, You have an income of £33,000 a year, meaning you get paid £2,750 each month. £2,750 – £2,083 (your income minus the threshold) = £667. So, 9% of £667 = £60.03 would be the repayment per month.
